4 Usulan Mahasiswa Banyuwangi Sebelum PT BSI Kembangkan Tambang
Mahasiswa Fakultas Hukum, Universitas Bakti Indonesia, Abdul Konik, BANYUWANGI, Jatim Today – Mahasiswa menentang rencana PT Bumi Suksesindo (PT BSI) untuk memperluas tambang di Desa Sumberagung, Kecamatan Pesanggaran, Kabupaten Banyuwangi, Jawa Timur.
Rencana itu tercium mahasiswa seiring diumumkannya susunan Analisa Mengenai Dampak Lingkungan (AMDAL) perusahaan tambang yang resmi beroperasi tahun 2012 tersebut.
Sayang, pengumuman yang seharusnya dilakukan secara terbuka untuk menjaring saran, pendapat dan tanggapan dari masyarakat justru terkesan tertutup.
Para akademisi dan mahasiswa pun merasa kecewa. Mereka menilai, pengembangan pertambangan PT BSI akan berdampak buruk bagi kelangsungan hidup masyarakat.
“Saya melihat ada yang janggal dari iklan pengumuman penyusunan AMDAL rencana pengembangan PT BSI,” kata salah satu Mahasiswa Fakultas Hukum, Universitas Bakti Indonesia, Abdul Konik, Rabu (8/2/2023).
Menurut Konik, kejanggalan itu terlihat pada pengumuman AMDAL PT BSI. Berkas yang dibuat tanggal 31 Januari 2023 itu dia anggap hanya sekedar pelengkap semata. Karena kurang terbuka saat perusahaan menjaring saran, pendapat dan tanggapan masyarakat.
Padahal ia memandang, perusahaan tambang emas PT BSI merupakan perusahaan besar yang seharusnya bisa lebih banyak menjaring masukan masyarakat saat mengumumkan penyusunan AMDAL rencana pengembangan pertambangan emas proyek di Tumpang Pitu Desa Sumberagung, Kecamatan Pesanggaran, Kabupaten Banyuwangi, Jawa Timur.
“Pengumuman penyusunan AMDAL itu, hanya sebagai pelengkap prosedural saja. Namun meskipun begitu, sebagai mahasiswa yang patuh terhadap peraturan, kami menginginkan keberadaan masyarakat tidak terganggu oleh aktivitas pertambangan,” tuturnya.
Konik bilang, ada beberapa poin saran masyarakat yang seharusnya ditampung oleh PT BSI saat menyusun AMDAL. Diantaranya, PT BSI harus lebih banyak menyalurkan program Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) ke masyarakat. Lalu perusahaan harus bisa menerapkan konsep ekonomi berkelanjutan bagi masyarakat.
Kemudian kata Konik, PT BSI harus bisa menjadi perusahaan pelopor tenaga kerja. Selain itu, keterbukaan PT BSI harus menjadi catatan lantaran program yang selama ini diberikan tidak memberi perubahan pada masyarakat.
“Dan jika semuanya belum dilakukan maka kami mengusulkan agar perluasan jangan dilakukan terlebih dahulu,” tegas Konik.
Tak hanya itu, Konik juga meminta PT BSI segera turun lapangan untuk melihat langsung kegelisahan yang terjadi di tengah-tengah masyarakat atas rencana pengembangan pertambangan.
“Kami meminta Pemerintah Kabupaten Banyuwangi dan PT BSI untuk tidak melanjutkan penambangan Gunung Salakan, sebelum mewujudkan pemberdayaan ekonomi berkelanjutan,” tutup Konik.
