Pemandangan Bukit Langara di kawasan Geopark Meratus, Kalimantan Selatan.Jatim Today – Hamparan hijau hutan hujan tropis membentang di sepanjang mata memandang. Menjadi sarang primata cantik, Bekantan. Semburat sinar mentari sebagian terhalang ujung pegunungan, yang menyimpan kekayaan geologi berupa intan berlian.
Itulah sebagian kekayaan alam yang dimiliki Kalimantan Selatan. Semuanya tercurah dalam satu kawasan seluas 3.641,5 kilometer persegi. Taman Bumi yang dinamakan Geopark Meratus.
Di hutan konservasi itu, banyak ilmu yang bisa digali karena kaya nilai-nilai geologi dan kearifan lokal. Sebuah wilayah geografis tunggal yang menyatu antara situs geologi dengan bentang alam yang unik dan dikelola secara holistik.
Geopark Meratus secara keseluruhan ialah tempat yang menggabungkan kekayaan alam, budaya dan geologi yang menjadi sumber daya penting untuk pendidikan, penelitian dan pelestarian alam maupun budaya.
Untuk menelusuri kawasan ini, terdapat empat rute yang bisa ditempuh. Yaitu rute barat, selatan, timur dan utara.
Rute Barat
Rute barat penuh dengan pesona susur sungai orang banjar yang penuh hiruk pikuk Pasar Terapung Lok Baintan.
Melalui rute ini, akan disuguhi keindahan batik khas Kalimantan yang disebut Sasirangan, kemegahan rumah adat Suku Banjar serta bisa melihat aktivitas membuat Jukung Kayu.
Yang tak kalah penting, kawanan monyet hidung panjang atau Bekantan juga ditemui dalam rute ini.
Rute Selatan
Sebuah kilau perjalanan dari hutan hujan tropis menuju intan. Dimulai dari Kampung Purun yang penuh karya seni dan menawarkan pengobatan herbal.
Lanskap hijau yang menjadi rumah bagi satwa liar dan anggrek menawan. Terdapat pesanggrahan Belanda yang dikelilingi pepohonan dan kulit ular.
Di rute ini, terbentang lukisan alam yang menceritakan bagaimana sejarah bumi dengan sekumpulan batuan permata intan berlian.
Rute Timur
Pelayaran mengesankan menembus sejarah bumi dan manusia. Terdapat Bukit Matang Kaladan, ibarat menara pandang untuk menikmati hamparan danau buatan. Danau yang menyimpan sejarah ditenggelamkannya desa dengan segudang cerita.
Di rute ini, bisa ditemui Batu Seiking Sungai Kembang, pemandangan Matang Kaladan, Bendungan Waduk Riam Kanan, jejak longsor Bukit Tiwingan, perikanan Waduk Riam Kanan, rumah panggung tebing waduk, Pulau Ulin, gunung api purba bawah laut, Pulau Bekantan, situs arkeologi Pulau Sirang, Pohon Saksi Bisu Ba’ah, Desa Belangian, hutan tropis Kahung, pemukiman yang ditenggelankan bersama makam keramat serta batu pasir pembawa intan.
Rute Utara
Mengikuti suara angin nenuju keajaiban Dayak Meratus.
Ikutilah kemana arah daun bergoyang tertiup angin. Di Oranje Nassau angin menembus masuk terowongan batubara yang lama ditinggalkan. Menjerit saat tertangkap Layang-Layang Dandang. Desir angin terus mengiring, menuju Kampung Dayak Meratus yang teguh memegang tradisi, Balai Adat Malaris, Rakit Bambu. Air Panas Tanuhi, Air Terjun Kilat Api jadi penanda sejarah bumi. Begitu juga Bukit Langara, dimana angin makin lantang bersuara.
Di rute ini akan dijumpai Rumah adat Bubungan Tinggi dan Gajah Baliku, singkapan batu bara formasi tanjung, sejarah tambang Oranje Nassau, Goa Batu Hapu, Desa Kelayangan Dandang Dengung, Masjid Keramat, sentra Dodol Kandangan dan Balai Adat Malaris.
Selain itu juga disediakan arena bermain arung jeram rakit bambu, menikmati pemandangan Bukit Kantawan, Air Terjun Kilat Api, mata air panas Tanuhi, pemandangan Bukit Langara dan tebing batu gamping Batul Aki.
Geopark Meratus menyimpan berbagai misteri agung dan unik, Suku Banjar dan Suku Dayak adalah dua bersaudara yang membaur dalam simphony yang indah, tradisi pasar terapung dan keseharian masyarakat banjar serta keajaiban tradisi masyarakat dayak yang luhur di balai adatnya semua bersikukuh untuk kelestarian bumi dan keanekaragaman kejadiannya akhirnya bisa menciptakan harmoni melody yang syahdu sebagai Jiwa Borneo.
