Tanggapan PMII Jawa Timur Atas Membaiknya Kepercayaan Publik ke Polri
Baijuri, Ketua Pengurus Koordinator Cabang Pergerakan Mahasiswa Islam Indonesia PMII Jawa Timur.SURABAYA, Jatim Today – Hasil survei Lembaga Indikator Politik Indonesia (LIPI) menyebutkan tingkat kepercayaan publik terhadap Polri meningkat jadi 73,2 persen.
Ketua Pengurus Koordinator Cabang Pergerakan Mahasiswa Islam Indonesia (PKC PMII) Jawa Timur Baijuri menyambut baik atas peningkatan ini.
Menurut Baijuri, meningkatnya kepercayaan publik terhadap Polri tersebut berkat ketegasan dan inovasi Kapolri Jenderal Listyo Sigit Prabowo dalam memimpin Korps Bhayangkara.
“Respect dan rasa hormat setinggi-tingginya kepada (Kapolri) Jendral Listyo Sigit Prabowo yang telah melewati setiap ujian berat, yang beberapa kali silih berganti mulai dari polemik kasus pembunuhan Brigadir Joshua, tragedi Stadion Kanjuruhan, kasus narkoba yang melibatkan Irjen Teddy Minahasa dan lain sebagainya. Sempat dikhawatirkan beberapa polemik ini akan melemahkan kekuatan Polri dan kepercayaan masyarakat. Namun seiring waktu dengan menerapkan prinsip Presisi, tegak lurus mengikuti aturan hukum yang berlaku, maka kini kepercayaan masyarakat telah kembali meningkat,” ujarnya, Senin (1/5/2023).
Ia menilai, ketegasan dan inovasi Kapolri menjadi poin utama menggaet simpati masyarakat. Selain itu, bertambahnya kepercayaan publik juga dipengaruhi oleh semakin terbukanya Polri dalam menerima masukan maupun kritikan masyarakat di berbagai lini media sosial.
“Ya saat ini ada kecenderungan institusi Polri terbuka atas masukan dan pandangan masyarakat indonesia digital atau kita kenal dengan netizen, setiap peristiwa hukum yang ramai di publik dan menjadi perbincangan hangat maka akan direspon dengan cepat oleh pihak kepolisian dan acapkali hasilnya memuaskan seperti kasus penegakan hukum atas anak pejabat tinggi pajak yang melakukan penganiayaan. Penanganan cepat atas keluhan titik-titik rawan begal dan lainnya. Itu catatan positifnya,” lanjut Baijuri.
Selain itu, kinerja petugas kepolisian dalam menjaga kelancaran arus mudik maupun balik Lebaran 2023 menjadi salah satu upaya mengembalikan citra baik Polri. Oleh karena itu, ia pun menyampaikan apresiasi setinggi-tingginya atas kinerja Korps Bhayangkara.
Kendati demikian, mahasiswa magister UIN-KHAS ini tak menampik masih terdapat sejumlah catatan terhadap kinerja Polri yang memang perlu perbaikan. Seperti kurang tanggapnya oknum anggota kepolisian di lapangan dalam menindaklanjuti laporan masyarakat, masih ditemukan tindakan represif kala berhadapan dengan pendemo serta persoalan tilang elektronik.
Namun hal itu kata dia, akan menjadi koreksi tersendiri dalam kepemimpinan Kapolri kedepan untuk benar-benar mewujudkan Polri yang sempurna.
“Ya tentu tidak kemudian seratus persen, jika saat ini kepuasan publik ada di angka 73 persen, maka bagaimana ini bisa bertahan atau bertambah angka kepuasannya. Tentu di Lapangan ada beberapa oknum kepolisian yang kerapkali mengabaikan prinsip presisi yang telah digaungkan oleh kapolri contohnya seperti oknum yang tidak segera tanggap atas laporan masyarakat, masih belum sempurnanya pelaksaaan Sistem tilang elektronik, atau beberapa oknum terlalu keras dalam menangani aksi demonstrasi mahasiswa dan lain sebagainya. Ini menjadi koreksi bersama agar kedepan lebih baik lagi,” tutupnya.
